Our August meeting started with a hodge podge pot luck. President Ward started things out with information about the invitation from United Airlines to invite 10 or so experimentals to Fleet Week on Sunday, October 17. Discussion about the Meeting of the Mustangs covered request for volunteers for that days activities. A short maintenance blurb was handled by Tom Mitchell from Solano College Aeronautics. Woody Harris made a presentation on his loss of power and subsequent emergency landing. The engine (Corvair) lost a cylinder. Cracks and almost complete dissassembly of a piston in flight. More on that later.
